Insurer Triglav Joins Abanka Capital Hike
The insurer's participation in a new attempt at recapitalisation of Abanka was approved by the Triglav supervisory board on 20 December on the condition that its stake in the bank, along with affiliated companies, do not exceed a third of voting rights on the conclusion of the capital injection.
At least EUR 50m worth of fresh shares at EUR 4.2 apiece need to be paid in for the latest recapitalisation attempt to be successful. The total emission value of the shares is EUR 90m.
In the first and second stage of the process, new shares are available to exiting shareholders, but will be offered to the public in the third stage.
The recapitalisation was approved by the Abanka shareholders' meeting in November after the previous attempt to raise EUR 50m at EUR 7 per share was aborted for lack of interest.
The other two major owners of Abanka, holding Sava and the bank Gorenjska banka, have not yet explicitly stated their intentions about participation in the capital hike.
