Up to 40 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the southern parts of central Slovenia and on high ground in Primorsko, and between 20 and 30 centimetres elsewhere by Monday evening.

Morning lows will range from -5 to -1 degree Celsius inland, up to 5 degrees in Primorsko, while daytime highs will range between -4 and 1 inland and up to 9 degrees on the coast.

A bora wind may form snowdrifts, in particular in the Notranjsko region.

The skies will be predominately cloudy on Tuesday with light showers in the west. They will spread to other parts of Slovenia on Wednesday, mainly in the form of snow.
