Ideal venue, excellent organisation

Mariborsko Pohorje boasts the largest number of skiers in Slovenia, the longest downhill night run in Europe and as the best ski centre in Slovenia it received the Golden snowflake award. The organisers of the Golden Fox also make a stand as having the worst thaw, and according to all the FIS international standards the organisation of the event itself is outstanding.

Also the large numbers of spectators at the competitions contribute to the reputation that that race enjoys around the world. The spectators with their excitement and encouragement for the competitors contribute greatly to creating an incredible atmosphere below Pohorje. The nearby centre of Maribor, the second largest city in Slovenia, also contributes to the attractiveness of this competition - not only for the locals but also for other visitors from both far and near
