Unemployment among men rose by 0.2 points to 11.6% and among women it remained level at 12.9%.

A total of 111,471 persons were registered as unemployed, up from 110,886 in October, whereas the number of people in paid employment dropped by 2,150 to 805,002.

November was the sixth month in a row that the active population shrank, the total having dropped by almost 12,000 since May.

The payrolls contracted the most in construction and manufacturing while increasing in science and technology.

Unemployment rose or remained level in all statistical regions. The biggest increase, 0.4 points to 16.9%, was recorded in the northeastern Pomurje, which has the highest unemployment rate in the country.
