More Cooperation With India

Žerjav, who will visit India upon an invitation from the country's Commerce, Industry and Textiles Minister Anand Sharma, will take part in the Confederation of Indian Industry's Partnership Summit in Agra on 27-29 January, while he is also scheduled to meet other ministers.

According to the website of the Slovenian government, the accompanying business delegation will also take part in the summit and hold a series of bilateral meetings on the margins of the event, as well as visit New Delhi and Calcutta.

The delegation, organised by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS), comprises businesses in the fields of renewable energy sources, power and metal industries, tourism, IT and logistics, where there are most chances for boosting cooperation.

India, which is forecast to record a 6% economic growth in 2013 by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has been listed among top priority markets for business diplomacy by the Slovenian government.
