Almost EUR 91M Withdrawn from Mutual Funds
All groups of mutual funds registered outflows last year, the most noticeable stock funds, which registered over EUR 43m more withdrawals than payments, according to web portal vzajemci.com.
The number of investors in mutual funds dropped by 18,973 last year and stood at 432,864 at the end of the year.
In December, investors in mutual funds managed by domestic companies withdrew EUR 14.2m in funds, which is 0.77% of all investments in mutual funds. The amount of funds managed decreased by 0.42%.
The average return on equity of all mutual funds, managed by both domestic and foreign companies, was positive in December, amounting to 1.48%.
The most profitable fund with a licence in Slovenia was EFF Equity Japan LTE - RH (10.20%). The lowest return on equity was meanwhile recorded with funds that invest in the raw materials sector.
Among stock funds, the highest growth was recorded by those which mostly invest in shares of companies from the financial sector and those investing in companies in China and Japan.
The most profitable bond fund was PU Funds - Euro Strategic Bond, which gained 2.17% in December, while the most profitable hybrid fund was Alta Primus (+3.24%).
In December, Slovenian asset management companies recorded lower growth in the value of managed funds than the mutual funds managed by foreign companies. The average profitability of funds managed by Slovenian companies was 1.22%, while the funds managed by foreigners on average gained 1.70%.
The lowest profitability was recorded with funds investing globally (0.67%), while the most profitable were funds investing in developing countries, which on average grew by 3.31%. The funds investing in developed markets on average gained 1.32%.
