Out of the planned 40 calls for applications, 14 are already open, of which eight were published in 2012, Sabina Koleša, the head of the entrepreneurship, competitiveness and technology directorate, said on Wednesday at the Business Day of the Kapital magazine.

Five packages totalling at EUR 216m will go for regional development and EUR 77.2m in three calls for applications will be earmarked for loans to companies.

For boosting foreign direct investments, the ministry will give out EUR 20m in one call for applications and four packages worth a total of EUR 5.9m are to be distributed for creating a supporting environment for entrepreneurship and innovation, Koleša explained.
