Premogovnik Velenje director Milan Medved told the STA rockbursts happen occasionally and cannot be forecast.

The mining inspector inspected the incident site but the works are proceeding normally as there is no risk to other miners' lives.

The last such incident happened in December 2010, when four miners suffered minor injuries, according to unofficial information.
