Gorenje has relocated the production of most of its refrigeration appliances to Valjevo, only keeping the production of built-in and high-end models at its headquarters in Velenje.

The partly state-owned company started an extensive restructuring of its production locations last year with the aim of increasing profits and competitiveness.

It has so far moved the entire production of kitchen stoves from Finland to the Czech Republic, while activities are under way for moving the production of washing and drying machines and dishwashers from Sweden to Slovenia.

After the restructuring is completed, Gorenje will be producing in three countries only: Slovenia, Serbia and the Czech republic.
