The Food Safety Administration said DNA testing by the Veterinary Institute had confirmed the presence of horse meat in the product Spar Gourmet Tortellini, an own-product sold by grocer Spar.

The product was made in Lichtenstein for Spar, the administration's press release said.

This was the only product out of 29 tested in the second round of sampling conducted this week to contain traces of horse meat, but the second to date in Slovenia, after a beef lasagne was found to contain horse meat in the first round of sampling a week earlier.

Additional tests will made to ascertain the share of horse meat in the tainted product.
