Tepeš landed at 214-metre mark in the second series, which was enough for him to retain the lead from the first series, when he flew 217 metres.

Tepeš scored a combined 425.5 points, 1.8 points ahead of Velta (207.5m and 217.5m/ 423.7 points), who came ahead of Prevc, second after the first series, (218m and 212.5m/422.5 points).

"It's a dream-like feeling. I held out the pressure. The final jump wasn't the best but I came out fine. It probably did me good that I fell at Planica the first time, as I did better after that," Tepeš said.

Norway pipped Austria for the victory in the Nations Cup by mere six points. Slovenia placed 4th, behind Germany.

Slovenia's Robert Kranjec was tied with Russia's Denis Kornilov for the sixth place (406.5 points), and another Slovenian competitor, Andraž Pograjc, placed 24th (350.8 points).

Due to unfavourable wind conditions, both series only saw 13 fights over the 200-metre mark. Prevc made the top mark in the first series at 218 metres, while Japan's Noriaki Kasai and Velta flew farthest in the second series at 217.5 metres.

Austria's Gregor Schlierenzauer, who placed 11th today, was awarded the big crystal globe for the overall World Cup victory and the small one for the ski flying standings lead.

Kranjec was sixth overall, followed by Prevc in 7th, Tepeš in 13th and Jaka Hvala in 16th place.

This year's Planica meet was especially successful for the home favourites. Slovenia won Saturday's team event ahead of Norway and Austria, while Prevc placed second behind Schlierenzauer at Friday's individual event. The meet attracted a total of 55,000 visitors.
