Subway, which closed its only restaurant in Ljubljana in 2007, is also returning to the capital. Its first fast food restaurant should open in the next months.

The company has told the STA that all its vegetables will be bought from local suppliers while the rest of the products will be imported from Germany.

Founded in 1965, Subway has 39,100 restaurants in 101 countries in which 2,800 salads and sandwiches are served every minute.
