Pahor has invited to participate in the discussion the broadest possible circle of individuals of different minds who are willing to co-shape the plan of Slovenia's future all-around development.

Notable individuals invited include Archbishop of Ljubljana Anton Stres, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Samo Hribar Milič, Maribor University Chancellor Danijel Rebolj, Constitutional Court President Ernest Petrič and President of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts Jože Trontelj.

The meeting is expected to discuss the current economic turmoil and the question of whether it is a cyclic occurrence or whether the crisis heralds paradigmatic changes of European and global development.

Pahor expects the preparatory conference to provide a basis for reflection on methods and approaches that should be used in the continuation of the Slovenia 2030 project.
