Deputies are expected to pass the changes to the sovereign holding act, filed by the government on 11 April, which among other measures introduce supervision of the holding by the Court of Audits.

On the other hand, debates have shown that the proposed changes to the omnibus austerity act from May 2012, the guidelines for the holding's management of state assets and the classification of state assets will probably be withdrawn and new documents will be proposed.

A vote is also scheduled on the proposal for new regulation of aid to troubled companies, which distinguishes between four kinds of state aid and removes the cap on possible state aid.

It also expands the state aid to debt-to-equity conversion for loans or guarantees received from the state.

The National Assembly's session will moreover see a vote on the appointment of supreme state auditor Tomaž Vesel to succeed Igor Šoltes as head of the Court of Audits in June, when his 9-year-term ends.

Vesel, who also served as the court's deputy president from 2004 to February this year, was proposed by President Borut Pahor upon consultations with parliamentary parties and already received unanimous support from the parliamentary Credentials and Privileges Commission on Tuesday.
