The group generated an operating profit of almost EUR 6.3m in the first three months of the year, which is 34% more than in last year's Q1, while pre-tax profit was up 75% to some EUR 5.4m.

Operating revenues increased in all groups of goods except for cars, where revenues were down 7%.

Operating costs were at the same level as last year, EUR 31.4m, although cargo transshipment increased by 3% to almost 4.5m tonnes.

The core company generated operating revenues of some EUR 35.3m, which is 4.5% more year-on-year, but increased its operating profit by 39% to EUR 5.7m and pre-tax profit by 92% to EUR 4.6m.

The results were published after the end of trading on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, where Luka Koper's share gained 7.55% to EUR 7.96 today.
