The occasion was marked in all four host cities of the European basketball championships, Ljubljana, Celje, Koper and Jesenice, with a visit by the tournament mascot, Lipko, who handed out balloons with tournament livery to passers-by.

The "100 Days to Go" celebration marks the start of a series of events to promote the tournament in the four cities ahead of the 4 September launch.

Running until 22 September, EuroBasket 2013 will see the participation of 24 national teams from the Old Continent vying for the champion's trophy that will be handed out after the final on 22 September.
