Talking at a press conference after a government session on Wednesday, she said that in the next 100 days, the government will focus on the young, health, the rule of law and the economy.

She listed privatisation, the bad bank and measures to relaunch the economy as being the issues with which the government cannot afford to make mistakes. "I am determined to have my government judged by actions and not words," she underlined.

She said that the measures adopted by the government were neither popular nor pleasant, but they were necessary. "Therefore we did not hesitate" to take action.

The PM said that her government inherited a 2013 budget "that was disastrous and unrealistic - in the first five months Slovenia exceeded the deficit planned for the entire year".

The next big task will be to adopt a supplementary budget, said the PM, who thanked her cabinet ministers for their work. She pointed out that her government drafted stability and national reform programmes that satisfied the European Commission.

She believes one of the biggest successes of her government was a pay-cut agreement reached with public sector trade unions. Also important were the inclusion of the fiscal rule in the Slovenian Constitution and constitutional changes on referendum legislation.
