The details of the transfer from Palermo have not been revealed, but media reports suggest Iličić signed a four-year contract worth between EUR 800,000 and EUR 1.3m per year.

The 25-year-old, who has 21 caps for the national team, scored 11 goals in 32 Serie A and cup appearances last season.

Fiorentina will be the fifth club in Iličić's professional career. He played for Izola, Interblock and Maribor before transferring to Palermo in 2010.

He was said to also been eyed by Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool.
