Sajeta Festival Brings Experimental Musicians to Tolmin

The festival, which is known for its creative workshops, will kick off with a presentation of independent films from Serbia, while screenings are also planned of films by experimental Slovenian director Diego Menendes.

Music will come to the fore on Thursday, starting with the Slovenian kalimbas duo Najoua and finishing with the "Dust And Shadows" project of avant-garde diva Lydia Lunch.

The highlights of the third day will include the up-and-coming Slovenian free jazz trio Drašler/Karlovčec/Drašler, Swedish saxophone experimenter Mats Gustafsson and French avant-rock legends Ulan Bator.

Saturday is reserved for electronic music and will feature the new Slovenian project Litošt, Cristian Vogel from Berlin and the Orb Sound System by Alex Paterson, the co-founder of the ambient group the Orb.

The results of the children's music workshop and the experimental music lab will be presented on Sunday, while the festival will be brought to a close with performances by several artist who mainly come from the areas of the former Yugoslavia.
