Around 100 candidates are from Slovenia, while the rest come from abroad, BAMC said. The hiring process is ongoing and BAMC refused to reveal any more information.

The call for applications was issued in late June. The three executive directors will be appointed for a period of six years.

There are currently three interim executive directors, Slovenians Boštjan Gerkeš and Aleš Kolarič, as well as Swede Torbjörn Mansson. It is unclear whether any of them have applied for the permanent position.

The bad bank also has four non-executive directors: Democrats (SDS) MP Andrej Šircelj and Swedish experts Arne Berggren, Lars Nyberg and Carl-Johan Lindgren.
