The venues in Piran, Koper and Izola will feature artists ranging from the Testore Austrian string quartet to international baroque ensemble Giardino d'Amore, award-winning Dutch violinist Lisa Jacobs, professor Gernot Winischhofer from the Austrian Konservatorium Wien and the French duo Amaury Coyteaux and Frederic Lagarde.

A part of the festival also presents young artists in the Tartini junior section of the programme, this year spotlighting two young graduates of the Salzburg Mozarteum, Vita Benko and Miha Kosec.

The Festival is named after the Piran native Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1770), one of the greatest violinists of his time and an excellent pre-classical composers and music theorist. The "Devil's Trill Sonata", considered to be one of the most demanding solo violin sonatas, is one of his most famous works.
