Dante's retrospective will begin on 29 September with the screening of "Looney Tunes Back in Action", Kinoteka programme director Jurij Meden told the press on Thursday.

A book about the life and work of the director, signed under "Gremlins", "Small Soldiers" and many others, will be published at the same time.

The retrospective of Scorsese, who has directed films such as "Gangs of New York", "The Aviator" and "The Colour of Money", will take place later in the season.

The season will be in general filled with events, celebrating important anniversaries of the Slovenian film industry.
