Comedy Arround New Management Of Port of Koper Goes On
The only document that has not been forwarded yet are the minutes of the meeting, which must first be confirmed by the supervisory board.
A tape of the meeting was also forwarded to the Corruption Prevent Commission, but the recording does not include as item two of the session - the actual decision to appoint Gašpar Mišič - as the supervisors decided against recording that part, the management of Slovenia's only commercial port explained.
Luka Koper also confirmed that the watchdog demanded on Wednesday various documents related to Gašpar Mišič's controversial appointment - including minutes of Monday's session of the supervisory board, data on all the candidates and the board's rules of procedure.
The appointment Gašpar Gašpar Mišič, former aide to Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek and member of the ruling Positive Slovenia, has rocked the Slovenian political scene as well as business circles for what they called a blatant and unacceptable case of political staffing.
The anti-graft watchdog has labelled Mišič's appointment a result of systemic and political corruption, which it said has been a key cause of Slovenia's moral and economic demise.
Bratušek has meanwhile labelled the appointment of her former aide as "intolerable".
SOD, the state-run fund managing state assets, requested Wednesday a shareholders' meeting of Luka Koper and proposed the dismissal of the six state representatives in the supervisory board.
