Slovenia's New Ambassador to UN Takes Over



Born in 1951, Logar is a career diplomat who has served among other places also as Slovenia's ambassador to the UN in Geneva.

The first major event for him as the ambassador to the UN in New York will be the General Assembly session between 24 September and 2 October. President Borut Pahor will also take part.

Logar is Slovenia's fifth ambassador to the organisation. The first was former President Danilo Türk, who was followed by incumbent President of the Constitutional Court Ernest Petrič. The third was Roman Kirn, whose most recent post was the ambassador to the US.
