Ilija Merdžanovski, the director of the Macedonian team, who were based in Kranjska Gora, praised the organisers, saying that "this is EuroBasket in the true sense of the word".

He added that the arenas, transport and everything else was at the highest level. "With such good conditions teams can really give their best on the court."

Polish team PR representative Elisabeth Kozlowski is happy that the team is again in Slovenia, with the first visit coming last year as part of the U-20 European basketball championships.

"Thee members of the delegation were already here last year. We are familiar with the arena and the hotel. Everything is great. We are glad we are here," Kozlowski said, adding that the players too were satisfied with the conditions.

Poland head coach Dirk Bauermann praised basketball fans in Slovenia for creating a great atmosphere in Celje and justifying Slovenia's title as "one of the Europe's homelands of basketball".

The reigning European champions Spain also feel great in Slovenia. Team director Juan Martin Cano said that the players felt like at home, also praising Slovenian fans for supporting their team, EuroBasket and basketball in general.
