Maribor Crushed by Kazan in UEFA Europa League Opene
The Russian team took the initiative early, with Gökdeniz Karadeniz scoring for the guests in the 23th minute, and Ivan Marcano increasing Kazan's lead to 2:0 four minutes later.
Slovenia's champions managed to cut Kazan's lead in the 35th minute, when Martin Milec scored from the right edge of the box.
Roman Eremenko increased the guests' lead to two goals again in the 69th minute, with Maribor again cutting the lead in the 73th minute through Nusmir Fajić.
The score was kept at 2:3 for Kazan until the stoppage time, when the guests managed to score two goals (Jose Salomon Rondonto and Aleksandr Ryazantsev) to seal the deal.
Maribor will play their next UEFA Europa League match on 3 October on the road against Wigan.
