More than 30 events are scheduled for the 19th City of Women, including a show by acclaimed Slovenian dancer Maja Delak, an interactive performance featuring British artist Lara Ritosa Roberts, a performance by Tanya Mars from Canada, and a show by Egyptian artist Laile Soliman.

Another highlight will be the premiere of a theatre piece entitled "I'm Walking Behind You and Watching You", which is dedicated to women from "The Forgotten Half", a book portraying Slovenian women from the 19th and 20th centuries.

A novelty will be a collaboration with the international feminist and queer festival Red Dawns, which usually runs in the spring but will be on from 12 to 26 October this year.

The events planned include a panel debate accompanying a new Slovenian edition of Simone de Beauvoir's "The Second Sex", a performance by Serbian group ACT Women, as well as one by Slovenian artist Ana Čigon.

Moreover, a monument to feminist and queer artists who have contributed to the Red Dawns festival will be put up at the AKC Metelkova mesto counterculure centre, and a yarn bombardment workshop organised by British artist Kerry Howarth.
