Slovenia Spends 2.8% of GDP on R&D
R&D spending in the private sector accounted for 77.2% of all funds for this purpose. State funds accounted for 28.1% of all R&D funding, which represents around 0.78% of GDP, the data show.
Funding for R&D rose by EUR 94m or around 11% last year compared to a year earlier, the Statistics Office added.
According to its figures, 21,343 people work in the R&D sector in Slovenia, of which 59% are full-time researchers.
