Nuclear Plant Back in Operation
The power plant was reconnected to the power grid on Tuesday after a two-month maintenance shutdown that had been unexpectedly extended due to damage to fuel rods.
It was already at 90% power and was to be brought to 100% over the weekend when it shut down automatically due to a flaw in a new system for measuring the temperature of the reactor coolant.
The Krško management pointed out the shutdown was the result of a short-term malfunction in the electronic safety circuits and was in no way connected to the actual state of the installation.
