Slovenia's GDP Per Capita at 84% of EU Average
Slovenia's GDP per capita had been nearing the EU average until 2008, when it was at 91% of EU average. After the crisis broke out it dropped to 84% of EU average and has remain flat since then.
However, the actual individual consumption index (AIC) for Slovenia lags behind the EU average even more. In 2012, the index was at 79% of the EU average, down two percentage points over 2010.
The highest AIC index was recorded in Luxembourg (138%), while the lowest was seen in Bulgaria at 49%.
