Inflation Down to 0.7%
Lower prices of clothing and footwear, down 7% and 4% respectively as a result of December discounts, contributed 0.5 percentage points to the monthly drop, while lower prices of health insurance accounted for 0.3 percentage points.
Measured with the harmonised index of consumer prices, an EU gauge, the annual growth was 0.9% in December, while the monthly price growth remained negative (-0.5%).
