State to Back Students Going Abroad
Students of natural sciences, medical studies or humanities and social sciences can apply for scholarships that will cover their tuition fees up to EUR 15,000 and living costs up to EUR 12,000 per school year.
The objective behind this call for applications is to encourage students to expand their horizons abroad and then return to Slovenia to contribute to economical, technological and social development, the fund told the STA.
Citizens of Slovenia or citizens of other EU members who have resided in Slovenia for at least five years without interruptions can apply. Migrant workers and frontier workers and their financially dependant family members can also apply.
The deadline for applications expires on 16 April.
The Ad Futura funds for studying abroad were first granted in 2002.
The fund is the central national institution that offers scholarships for study and research and increases international mobility of students and researchers as well as provides financial incentives to employers for development of human resources.
