Slovenia Believes Swiss Immigration Vote Bad for EU and Switzerland

Like many of his colleagues, Erjavec said that Switzerland cannot simply choose to respect only those agreements with the EU that are favourable to the country.

When asked what the vote could mean for Slovenian migrants, Erjavec said that Switzerland had already introduced measures against them in the past and that this could make the conditions more drastic.

He also pointed out that the Swiss government and parliament now have three years to draft the legislation, adding that talks between the EU and Switzerland would be "very interesting" in the future.
