Among the former socialist countries, Slovenia ranks behind the Czech Republic (13th), Poland (19th), Slovakia (20th) and Lithuania (32nd).

Slovenia, which has advanced two spots since 2012, also placed one spot behind the UK (33rd) and one spot ahead of Spain (35th) with France trailing in 39th.

The index is topped by Finland with Eritrea trailing the list in 180th.
