At the same time spending by Slovenian tourists abroad dropped nearly 5% to EUR 702m, which widened the balance by 2% to EUR 1.39bn, the Spirit agency said in a press release Tuesday.
Tourism revenue has been rising uninterruptedly since 1999 whereas spending by Slovenian tourists abroad was rising until 2008, whereupon it stagnated and started dropping in 2010.
The revenue figures come after the Statistics Office reported a 2.3% year-on-year increase in the number of visitors for 2013.
