Output in the Nazarje factory, which mostly manufactures small household appliances and food and beverage machines, increased by one million compared to 2012 to almost eight million items.

"We successfully launched a number of new products, invested heavily and saw record results for the period that the BSH group has been present in Slovenia," BSH Hišni aparati managing director Boštjan Gorjup told the press.

A total of EUR 15.9m was earmarked for investment last year, while the company employed almost 1,400 workers, which includes agency workers.

General Director Wolfram von Ohain said that it is estimated that the Slovenian market bottomed out last year and that similar results are expected this year.

The bulk of the appliances manufactured in Nazarje are exported, mostly to Germany, SE Europe and North America.
