Good Employment Outlook for Next Months

Nekategorizirano

The net employment forecast - the difference between the proportion of employers expecting hiring and those planning lay-offs - is +13%, the best outlook since the first quarter of 2011, when Manpower first conducted the survey in Slovenia.

The forecast for Q2 shows an 11-percentage-point improvement on the first quarter this year and an increase of 8 points on the second quarter a year ago.

Of the 620 employers surveyed, 19% expect employment opportunities in their company to improve, while 6% expect a deterioration with 74% not expecting any major changes.

Although an improvement is typical for this time of year, the latest outlook indicates a marked increase in employment prospects, a press release cites Romana Å ercelj, sales director at ManpowerGroup Slovenija, as saying.

She is hopeful that the results indicate a gradual stabilisation of the country's labour market and thus more opportunities for all job seekers.

The survey shows a positive employment outlook in all ten sectors included. The best at +20% was detected in agriculture, forestry, hunting and fishing, followed by electricity, gas and water supply and transport, logistics and communications at +16%.

The outlook stands at +15% in financial and business services, insurance and construction, and at +14% in manufacturing.
