As the Slovenian artist Jože Spacal is celebrating his 75th birthday in early 2014, the Ljubljana castle honors him with an exhibition - one could say a retrospective. Spacal is a very versatile artist, working with mosaics aswell as with paintings and graphics.

Spacal, who was born in the Kras region in Slovenia on the border to Italy, implements pieces of the special architecture of this region in his mosaics and in his whole work. Especially his mosaic work is reflecting on his origins, regarding that Italy is not too far, where mosaics have a long tradition.

The exhibition will be opened until the end of April in the castle of Ljubljana, the entry to the exhibition is admission free.
