The exhaust system maker convinced the 40-strong judging panel with the Akrapovič Evolution Line (Titanium) for the Ducati 1199 Panigale, which won it one of 72 Best of the Best Red Dot awards.

Gorenje won the Dot with the smart TFT oven with a thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display, while Hidria was awarded for its new generation of high-pressure ventilators with electronically commutated motors.

The jury awarded the red dot to 1,120 products out of 4,815 applications from 53 countries.

The Red Dot Award, which has been conferred by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen since 1955, is one of the world's most coveted product design awards. Awards are conferred in three categories: communication design, product design and design concept.
