Jan Urbas scored the first two goals in the key final game for Slovenia and Miha Štebih added the third one minute from time.

This is the second resounding victory against Austria after the Slovenian team beat the northern neighbours in the Sochi Olympics to secure the quarter finals.

Despite the defeat Austria will also join the elite World Championship division.
