Higher Consumer Confidence
The monthly boost is mainly due to more upbeat expectations about the economic situation in Slovenia, unemployment and the potential for savings in the coming 12 months.
Meanwhile, the outlook for the financial state of households over the next 12 months remained unchanged.
Male respondents were more upbeat than women in all their projections and the 16-29-year-olds were the most optimistic on average, against the 50-64-year-olds, who were the most downbeat group of all.
The consumer confidence index in May was 8 percentage points above last year's average.
The 13-point increase year-on-year was the product of optimism about the economic situation in the country, about unemployment and about the households' finances in the coming year.
On the other hand, the outlook for savings opportunities in the coming year impacted negatively.
