The parties involved in the coalition building have so far been reluctant to speak to the public about their demands and progress in negotiations.

Most recently, the conservative NSi stated that it wants to pro-business reform agenda, while late last week DeSUS raised demands on pensions.

All parties have deemed the first draft distributed by SMC as a suitable basis for further talks.

A controlled privatisation, health reform, a real estate tax and changes to the electoral system would rank prominently among the priorities of Slovenia's next government, according to the document.

In addition to statements from DeSUS and NSi, SD has called for greater emphasis to be placed on the welfare state and ZaAB for more detailed plans for at kick-starting the economy.

The new round of coalition talks scheduled for later this week is expected to coincide with President Borut Pahor's consultations with parties on a prime minister-designate.
