The two-day event will see the participation of 15 governors of Chinese provinces, senior Chinese ministry officials and a delegation of Chinese investors. A total of around 1,500 participants are expected.

The main theme of this year's Investment Forum is regional cooperation as an important drive of cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the opportunities arising from it.

The participation by the Slovenian business delegation is sponsored by the SPIRIT agency for the promotion of investment, entrepreneurship and tourism, in cooperation with the Slovenian Embassy in Prague.

According to SPIRIT, Slovenian business officials will be able to attend a number of formal an informal meetings as well as individual discussions with Chinese investors.

Various panels are designed for individual sectors such as tourism, transport and aviation, investment, financial sector, energy, healthcare, science or information and communication technology.

The Local Leaders' Meeting will be attended by a delegation headed by State Secretary Bojan Babič of the Infrastructure and Spatial Planning Ministry, who will address a panel on the development of western China and its cooperation with CEE countries.
