77% Households in Slovenia Had Internet Access
Internet in this period was used by around 72% of persons aged between 16 and 74, according to a report released by the Statistics Office on Monday.
Mobile broadband internet was used by 49% of Slovenian households, which is an improvement of 6 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
In the first quarter of the year, internet was used by 1,118,000 people, of which 81% used internet every or almost every day.
Social networking sites were used by 58% of all internet users, which is an improvement of 5 percentage points compared to the same period last year. A majority of them (61%) were women.
In the period between April 2013 and March 2014, 37% of persons aged between 16 and 74 purchased goods or services on-line. A majority of them (53%) purchased clothing, sport equipment and footwear.
