The Head of the Association of Slovenian Natural Spas and the event's organiser Iztok Altbauer has highlighted that 90% of the guests are new to Slovenia's spa scene, which means potential new partners and opportunities for cooperation.

The meeting, which is returning to Slovenia after it was hosted by Hungary last year, was also described as very important for Slovenian tourism by Karmen Novarlič of the tourism sector at the SPIRIT national investment and tourism promotion agency.

Altbauer explained that the new strategy for Slovenian spas until 2020, which is being drawn up together with SPIRIT and is expected to be confirmed in December, will also be discussed in Radenci.

Spa tourism continues to be Slovenia's leading tourism industry, generating 32% of all overnight stays on an annual basis.
