Consumer Prices Flat Year-on-Year
While Slovenia has faced deflation since August, the rate of the drop in prices abated in October. At the monthly level consumer prices picked up 0.2% on average.
The biggest drop in prices at the annual level was registered in the communication group of products and services, which were 3.5% cheaper on average.
Prices of home equipment was down by 2.3%, clothing and footwear by 1.7% and food was 0.5% cheaper year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the price of alcohol and tobacco products was up 3.7% and recreation and cultural products and services were 1.8% dearer over last October.
Measured with the harmonised index of consumer prices, the EU gauge, the annual inflation rate in Slovenia stood at 0.1% in October.
