An exhibition of acclaimed Slovenian photographers focusing on Slovenia's landscapes and cultural heritage opened in Rome, as did an exhibition dealing with the wealth of potential hiding in Slovenia's wood resources and a show on Slovenia's famous white Lipizzaner horses.
However, in the focus of the "Rome to Expo Milano 2015" project, where Slovenia will be featured until 27 November, is the presentation of Slovenia's Milan pavilion.
At the 2015 Expo, one of the biggest global events next year, which will run from 1 May and 31 October under the slogan "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life", Slovenia will promote itself on a surface of 800 square metres.
The country's regions will be given two weeks each to organise different events, while Slovenia will present itself via content related to the main topic of the expo: salt, bees, thermal and mineral waters, a healthy and active lifestyle and green technology.
The content will be presented with an interactive approach and visitors will get five buckwheat seeds in the end, "five being a special number symbolising the five senses that are the central part of the 'I Feel Slovenia' story", explained the head of Expo 2015 project for Slovenia Jerneja Lampret.
The event, which will feature 143 more countries representing 94% of the world's population, is seen as an incredible opportunity for promotion, with 130,000 visitors expected each day.
