Fraport Increases Ljubljana Airport Share to 98%
The price per share equals the price Fraport paid to a consortium of sellers, including the state, in October, when it took over 75.55% of Aerodrom Ljubljana for EUR 177.1m.
Fraport's plans for development of Slovenia's biggest airport are very similar to the company's development policy, Aerodrom Ljubljana said immediately after the takeover.
It added that an experienced owner could achieve faster and more effective changes.
Fraport promised long-term development of the Ljubljana airport. "We believe in Slovenia's future," Fraport CEO Stefan Schulte told the press after signing the sales contract on 5 September.
The new owner said it intended to develop both passenger and cargo transport at the airport. Schulte expects that Aerodrom Ljubljana, which he believes is in good shape, will continue to grow in both segments.
