Intl Ladies Organising 21st Charity Bazaar
Inaugurated by President Borut Pahor, the event aims to present different nations living and working in Slovenia. In addition to stands promoting each country, the event will also include several shows, games for children and a raffle.
Being organised for 21 consecutive years, the SILA bazaar holds a long tradition. The first one featured 14 countries and raised over EUR 11,000 for the Ljubljana Paediatric Clinic.
Over the years, the bazaar has grown and so have the funds raised. Last year, almost 7,000 visitors came and a total of EUR 83,000 was raised. All together, the association has raised over a million.
The Slovenian International Ladies' Association aims at encouraging cultural and educational exchange as well as reinforcing the relations between its members. It mostly features foreign businessmen and diplomats' wives.
