Nekategorizirano

The nominee for economic development and technology minister, Terme Olimia chairman Zdravko Počivalšek, was endorsed by the Economy Committee on Tuesday after promising measures to improve competitiveness and create new jobs.

The vote is a mere formality since Počivalšek enjoys firm support in the coalition.

MPs will also vote on two laws which will raise taxes on financial services, including banking and insurance deals, from 6.5% to 8.5%.

The increase is expected to bring in an additional EUR 30m into the national budget next year.

The MPs will vote on all legislative motions on Friday.
